بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
After praising Allah the Most High and sending peace and salutations upon the best of the Prophets, Messengers and mankind, Muhammad bin Abdillah and upon his noble household, family and companions, we greet you all with the greetings of the people of Paradise:
Asalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Over the last 14 months, by the permission of Allah our community has made major progress towards establishing Markaz Hudhayfah bin Al Yamaan(MHbAY). Furthermore, we are humbled and grateful to Allah the Most High and thank Him and then the whole community for their continuous support, we have seen Markaz Hudhayfah bin Al Yamaan (MHbAY) grow from an idea to a physical, 5000 sq. ft. premises.
Phase 1 – The Deposit:
When we started on this endeavour, In December 2013, with the permission of Allah, we raised almost £100,000 in a few nights for phase 1 of the project.
Phase 2 – The Purchase:
Over the next 9 months, we saw brothers and sisters work tirelessly on Phase 2, arranging events, collecting donations, and raising a further £750,000!
Brothers and sisters racing towards good, hoping for the reward of the hereafter. This was truly humbling. Donations ranging from a few pennies to thousands of pounds, from children giving their pocket money to mothers giving from their gold and families giving their savings. It reminded us of the statement of Allah the Most High
so strive, as in a race, in good deeds. (Al-Ma’idah 5:48)
and His the Most High’s saying:
”…among you are some that desire this world and some that desire the hereafter (Aali Imran 3:152)
Maasha’Allah! May Allah reward them all with houses in the highest level of paradise.
In August 2014, Alhamdullilah, we completed the purchase of the Old Leytonstone Social Club.
In addition, we became a registered charity (1159316) and are regulated by the UK Charity Commission. So now we can claim gift aid on all future donations, making your donations go a further 25%
Phase 3 – The Planning & Build:
We began working on strategies to bring the building back into use for the community. After extensive work with architects, planning advisors, and surveyors, we submitted the first of a series of planning applications and are pleased to announce that this application has been approved.
We once again saw the community come together for the sake of Allah to help clear out the building. We saw many brothers gather and work together over a series of weekends to remove over 30 tons of rubbish. A very big thank you to all those who helped may Allah reward you all.
We are pleased to announce that building work has now commenced and we estimate the total build time to be 4 months and the total cost to be circa £150,000.
Phase 3 will consist of 5 stages
Stage 1 – Planning and applications
Stage 2 – Partial demolition and structural engineering
Stage 3 – Building, extensions and partitions
Stage 4 – First fix -Electrical/AV/Security installation
Stage 5 – Final Fix & build completion
Stage 6 – Final Finish
Upon completion of phase 3 we hope to have a fully operational Islamic Centre providing valuable services to the community and a place of prayer. Insha’Allah
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:“When the son of Adam dies his actions come to an end except three things, a continuing charity or knowledge which gives benefit or a pious child who prays for him” (Sahih Muslim)
